Ormco Corporation Launches Spark™ On-Demand Program

May 2nd marks the advent of Ormco Corporation’s latest innovation in orthodontic care—the Spark™ On-Demand Program. This groundbreaking service revolutionizes access to orthodontic supplies by allowing orthodontists to order Spark Aligners and Prezurv™ Plus Retainers on an as-needed basis, without the constraints of subscription fees or preset orders. The introduction of this cost-effective, pay-per-tray model is poised to transform the way dental professionals manage their inventory, ensuring they can provide tailored, affordable care to their patients.

Eric Conley, Ormco’s President, emphasized the program’s potential to empower orthodontists. “Our Spark™ On-Demand Program is set to significantly enhance practice growth through a more affordable, flexible approach to ordering aligners and retainers. Our commitment lies in providing practitioners the freedom to decide the best treatment plan for their patients, without being tied down by bulk orders or upfront costs.”

The sentiment is echoed by Dr. Todd Bovenizer, who highlighted the operational and financial benefits. “The freedom to order exactly what’s needed for each patient simplifies the logistics of orthodontic care and allows for more personalized treatment plans. It’s a cost-effective solution not just for the practice, but for the patient as well, easing the pursuit of minor orthodontic adjustments or post-treatment retention without heavy financial burdens.”

Notably, the Spark On-Demand Program features:

  • Flexibility: Order the precise number of aligners and retainers required.
  • Cost Efficiency: Eliminate unnecessary expenses with no requirement for subscription or minimum orders.
  • Convenience: Easy ordering through the Spark DTX Portal, catering to all aligner and retainer needs with a straightforward process.

Prezurv Plus Retainers utilise Ormco’s cutting-edge TruGEN Technology, also found in Spark Clear Aligners, available in both scalloped and straight trim options designed for durable retention and relapse prevention.

The program is scheduled for release to Spark providers in the United States from May 5, 2024. Further details can be found here.
